THE HOUSE SIGNATURE

The Nutty Muffit A double cheeseburger buried under homemade coleslaw and mixed gourmet nuts. It sounds like a dare somebody lost. It has been on the menu long enough that arguing with it seems pointless. SOURCE: Bishop’s calls it their famous signature sandwich.

Bishop’s started as a hot dog stand on Cleveland Road in 1959, grew into a drive-in with car hop service, and closed in 2011. It reopened to bring back the food people had spent a decade asking about. The onion rings are hand-cut and battered in house, and the pies are baked fresh every day.

A longer write-up is coming. Chad is working through these one at a time.
